Across the lands many kingdoms and independent nations have established knights for their protection. However, an even greater honor is to be named a Knight of the Realm. The Knights of the Realm are representatives of their countries, selected from the best available knights. These knights are inducted into the Order of the Rose Quartz, a coalition of knights from all countries where most diplomacy is settled. Disagreements between countries are settled in contests of strength and willpower and territories can be gained or lost.
Kings and rulers from various countries pit their knights against one another in the Colosseum of Fate, where a country can make itself anew and expand its wealth and influence, or fall under the rule of another. Knights may challenge each other as a test of strength, but no property can exchange hands.
There are three classes of knights that exist in the Order.
Dragoon - Mounted Knights who specialize in lances, spears, and mounted combat.
Shield Protectorate - Heavily armored knights who specialize in shield and sword combat.
Dreadnaught - Knights who specialize in heavy two handed weaponry. Often times are lightly armored for mobility.
Each Knight chooses what class he will compete under and must adhere to basic criteria of each class. Dragoons are the only class that can compete in jousting tournaments and must own and register a steed for combat and jousting. Shield Protectorates must have a shield deemed of "significant size" and carry it with them in combat. Dreadnaughts must own and use at least one two handed weapon to use in combat.
Once a class is chosen, you will continue down that chosen path and hone your skills accordingly. If you so choose to go down multiple paths, you may do so, but will gain skill accordingly from the bottom up while retaining any skills gained in another path.
Dragoon Skills:
1st Level - Spear Training - Enables effective use of any spear or spear like weapon.
3rd Level - Mounted Combat - Enables effective use of weaponry while mounted.
7th Level - Spear Hurling - Enables effective use of thrown spears.
11th Level - Mounted Spear Hurling - Enables effective use of thrown spears.
15th Level - Spear Mastery - Increased Spear Effectiveness
20th Level - Supreme Gore - When charging mounted with any type of spear, you can impale multiple enemies with the spear on the same charge.
